JamesYang博士简介:
JamesYang博士毕业于美国爱荷华大学机械工程专业。现为美国德州理工大学机械工程系终身副教授和人体设计研究实验室主任。任International Journal of Human Factors Modeling and Simulation的执行主编和International Journal of Robotics and Automation的副主编。
杨教授的研究领域包括基于物理的人体建模与仿真、仿生系统、人体工程学、生物力学、医疗工程、轮胎建模和车辆动力学、以及机器人和机械系统。曾获2001年Arch T. Colwell优异奖,2004年ASME优秀论文奖,2007年普罗米修斯奖,2011年惠特克研究卓越奖,2012年美国汽车工程师学会Ralph. R. Teetor教育奖,2012年空军夏季教授研究奖,以及2012年美国德州理工大学校长理事会特聘研究员奖等多个奖项。

Digital Human Modeling and Simulation for Design and Engineering
Abstract: Digital human modeling and simulation plays an important role in product design, prototyping, manufacturing, sports biomechanics, and other areas. It reduces the number of design iterations and increases the safety and design quality of products. In this talk, I will first briefly review the state of art of digital human models, then I will summarize research projects carried out in my research lab. The first area is human-centric engineering by investigating the optimization-based digital human models to assist design and engineering. Applications include driver accommodation study and special population posture and motion prediction. The second area is healthcare engineering by developing novel predictive models to assess personal protective equipment.
